The second of at least three children born to Herman and Alvira (Benedict) Burch. Records show his name spelled several different ways and there is not agreement on the name on his marker per his grandson, Arthur Burch, the son of Lloyd.

Married Eliza Olds around 1867 and were the parents of: Bertha Myrtle, Nettie, Benjamin Wesley, Ezra Roscoe, Mary Millard, Herbert Albert, Robert Victor and Lloyd Burwell Burch.
