U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant James L. Park, Jr. (Retired), 85, of Watsontown, died on Wednesday, June 03, 2020 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born January 28, 1935 in Northumberland, a son of the late James L. and Florence (Mull) Park Sr.

James was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School.

He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for twenty years.

On October 08, 1960, James married the former Beatrice Kinney, who survives. Together they celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage.

Following his time in the service, he worked various jobs, including: Lockheed Martin Avionics, Penn Wire Rope, and Thermal Product Solutions (TPS).

James was a member of the Pine Street United Methodist Church, Williamsport.

He enjoyed participating in his bowling league, which included several perfect 300 games over the years. He also loved reading western books and working in his garden.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister: Shirley Mae Gore; and, his brothers: John Park, Kenny Park, and Robert Egli.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughters: Sally and Kerry Stahl of Watsontown, Tina Marie and Bill Higdon of Tucson, Arizona, and Jeanette and Steve Schodt of Allenwood; his granddaughters: Christina, Virginia, Amber, and Michelle; his grandsons: Tim, Joshua, and Colton; his great-granddaughters: Jovie, Lily, Hayleigh, and Hailey; and, his great-grandsons: Ethan, Peyton, and Hunter.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Private burial will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
