A daughter of the late Frank and Jennie McJunkin Schnitzius, Katherine was the former owner and operator of Gregory's Grocery and a member of Outreach Ministries on Big Bear Creek. She was known for beautiful quilts that she made by hand, and the love warmth and laughter that she gave to those that knew her. She also had a special love for her animals.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gregory, April 11, 1990; her son, Charles Gregory; and three brothers, Charles, Paul, and Richard Schnitzius.
Katherine is survived by one son, Robert (Mary Ann) Gregory of Otway; one daughter, Wanda Kay Chandler of Otway; daughter-in-law,Carol Sue Gregory of Amanda, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Rita Hoffman, Ronda Proffitt, Melissa Blanton, David Gregory, Mark Chandler, Robert Gregory II, Charles Gregory, and Katherine Jones; nine great grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted noon, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Outreach Ministries Church on Big Bear Creek Road with Alan Rose officiating. Burial will follow in UP Cemetery.
