CONNIE SUE MORROW, age 76, died Thursday, June 4, 2020, at her home near Benton. Born October 13, 1943, at Sikeston, MO, to the late Talmadge H. New and Wanda Ruth Watson New, she had lived in the Benton area most of her life where she was a member of the Unity Baptist Church and had served the church as a Vacation Bible School teacher. A registered nurse, she had been employed with the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, the Chateau and the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau until her retirement.
On February 19, 1965, she married Richard H. Morrow, who preceded her in death on December 27, 2010.
Surviving are her sons, Kevin (Teresa) Morrow of Batesville, AR, Paul (Tammy) Morrow of Benton and Tim Morrow of Sikeston; brothers, Jim New of St. Louis and Kenny New of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Donna Hendrix of Fruitland and Sheri Hunt of Vail, AZ; grandchildren, Ryan Morrow, Alan Michael Morrow, Kyle Morrow, Cody Morrow, Cierra Morrow and Mikayla Morrow and two great grandchildren, Ruby Rae Morrow and Eli Henry Morrow.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan H. Morrow.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Dennis Lowe, pastor of Unity Baptist Church near Benton, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Lambert, Eric Lambert, Jeff Hendrix, Joseph Ketterer, Roger Morrow and Mike New.
