He had suffered from Alzheimer's disease for a number of years.

He taught Sunday school for many years, and always wanted to be a help and blessing to his pastor and church.

He was born in Red River County on Aug. 10, 1926, to Zack and Elvis Wilburn Tittle. He married Dixie Mathis on May 16, 1953, in Fort Worth.

He was a carpenter and he worked for Sanger Harris for many years. He also worked for display companies; he enjoyed his work. He was able to teach a Bible class on his job and he loved to witness to others about the grace of Jesus.

He served in the army during the Korean Conflict and was in Korea for 15 months. He will be missed by his family, but they can rejoice that he is home with the Lord.
