Brooksville - Francis Graham 'Gig' Lymburner, 85, died on January 28, 2018, at a healthcare facility. He was born in Blue Hill, on February 10, 1932, the son of Eugene B. and Mary B. (Lawrence) Lymburner.
Gig attended school in Brooksville and graduated from Brooksville High School. He joined the US Army and served with the military police from 1953-1955. In 1954, he married his wife of 65 years, Marilyn Peasley. Gig enjoyed working his blueberry, strawberry, and potato fields. He loved hunting and spending time fishing on the Bagaduce River and at camp on Parker Pond. He owned and operated Gig's Store in W. Sedgwick for 30+ years. He enjoyed serving on the Farm Service Agency of Hancock County. Gig was a 60+ year member of the Governor Brooks Lodge of Brooksville. He also was a member of the Cecelia Rebekah Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Patricia Ann Henry and husband, Jim, Scott Emil Lymburner and partner, Debra, Eugene Maurice "Gunnar" Lymburner and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Nicholas James Henry and wife, Margaret-Grace, Collin Alexander Henry, Francis Robert Lymburner, Andrew Scott Lymburner and partner, Victoria Judkins, Miche Marilyn Lymburner, Scott Cody Lymburner, Patricia Ann Tapley and husband, Martin, and John Patrick Lymburner; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Mae Henry, Spencer Reed Lymburner, Sterling Nicholas Lymburner, Sophie Lymburner, Emma Grace Tapley and Addilyn Marie Lymburner. He was predeceased by a brother, Blaine, and sister, Chestena.
A memorial service will be held on February 10, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Brooksville Community Center, Cornfield Hill Road, Brooksville, with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating. A reception will follow at the community center.
