Harold was united in marriage on November 16, 1944 in Fairmount, ND to Elizabeth M. Goerdt. He was an award winning farmer in Richland County, ND and after moving to the Iron Range in 1952, worked as a miner. Harold was a resident of Great Scott Township and member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Buhl. He loved nature and working their 40 acre family farm by Spirit Lake.
Harold was survived by his wife Bette, children; James (Karen), Richard, Robert, Carol, Eileen, Thomas, Alice, David, Anita, Elizabeth, Harriet and Susan, 1 grandchild, James, Jr., mother Barbara, sisters; Mabel, Julia, Lillian and Louise, brothers; Daniel, Willard, Elmer and Elroy as well as and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his father Emil, little brother John and two infant sons; Francis and Charles.
Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Buhl.
