Mrs. Virginia Ezzell, wife of J. H. Ezzell, former De Leon residents passed away at their home near Gorman on Saturday, August 21, 1937 at 6:30 pm. The family home is eight miles northwest of Gorman.
Virginia Clementine Ezzell was a native Texan and mother of nine children, who with her husband survives. She was converted in early life and lived a faithful member of the Church of Christ for 57 years. She was a devoted Christian and loving mother and loyal and true friend to all. The funeral and burial took place at Alameda Cemetery at 4:00 o'clock pm, August 22, with Rev. Bills conducting with Higginbotham undertakers, Gorman, in charge of arrangements.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Ezzell is survived by the following children: Ezra Ezzell, Corpus Christi, Tx.; Collie Ezzell of Roswell N. M.; Marvin Ezzell of El Paso; Melvin Ezzell of Gorman; Zella Smith of De Leon; Della Cozart of Gorman; Lela Cozart of Victor; Vida Cadenhead of Donna, Tx.; Rema Fowler of Bay City.
