John S. Grafton

Haughton, LA - John S. (Sammy) Grafton, age 72, formerly of Junction City, LA, passed away August 4, 2013. He was born August 31, 1940 in Bernice, LA.

Sammy is survived by his wife, Faye; children, Steve Grafton and wife Dianne, Chris Grafton and wife Neely; step-children, Deborah Killion and husband Bruce, Chris Hughes and husband Jay, Leslie Richardson, Russell Doughty and wife Debra; daughter-in-law, Patsy Doughty; half-sister Paulette Bush; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Sammy served in the Army Special Forces in Vietnam, and retired from the St. Gobain Glass Plant at Ruston. He spent his retirement years supporting his church, traveling, and cheering for his beloved LSU Tigers.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM August 6, 2013 at the Victory Life Center on 3012 Shed Rd. in Bossier City. In lieu of flowers, send donations to St. Judes Hospital or the Kidney Foundation.
