It is with great sadness that the family of John Thomas Bowles "Tommy" announces his passing on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the age of 88. Tommy will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Christine Beaumont, Lynda James, and Laura James. In addition to his daughters, Tommy will be remembered by his siblings, William Bowles, June McNair, Deloris Reed, and Bonnie Hudgel. Tommy was predeceased in death by his father John Bowels, mother Lillian Bowles, sister Mary Slagle, and his former wife Jacquelyn McNey.

A graduate of St Johns College High School, Class of 1949, Tommy started working for F.B. Harding Electric and found his passion for construction. He served in the United States Naval Construction Battalion during the Korean War. After his military service, Tommy continued working as an electrician and opened his own business, J Thomas Bowles Inc., in 1965 which he ran for fifty-three years. He married Jacquelyn McNey on July 8, 1961 and fathered three children. Tommy enjoyed spending time with close family and friends, flying his airplanes, and being on the job site. Tommy was a devoted father, grandfather, business man, and friend.
