Billy D. Hamilton age 75, of Mattoon IL., passed away at 4:27 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon. Bill was born on May 11, 1945 in Mattoon, the son of Delza and Jo (Crispin) Hamilton.
Survivors include his son, Beau (Kristin) Hamilton; granddaughters, Hali and Hillary Hamilton; and sister, Julie (Mark) Peffer.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill served honorably in the United States Army. He retired from Gill Sports after several years of service. He was longtime fan of motorsports; Bill owned several corvettes and many other sport cars throughout his life. He would drive his corvette proudly as often as he could. Bill had many great friends over the years and was very close to his sister. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Bill will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
