"Bob" April 16, 1928 – August 3, 2016 Bob, 88, a long time resident of Everett and Camano Island, Wash., before moving to Naselle, Wash. and eventually to Walla Walla, Wash. passed away peacefully on August 3, 2016. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and fought in WWII. Upon being honorably discharged, he enrolled at Everett Community College, where he graduated with three degrees in Electronics and Radio Repair. Bob used this knowledge working for the City of Everett as a Communication Technician for the Everett Fire and Police Departments, where he was employed for 18 years. Bob was an avid boater as a Gillnetter and on the Bob & Net Cruiser, going up to Canada and throughout the Puget Sound. He also enjoyed his beach cabin on Camano Island with his family and friends, and fishing all of Washington State, towing the trailer. Some of his best times were fishing Steelhead and Salmon in the Naselle River the past 18 years. Bob leaves his wife of 43 years, Annette; daughters, Terri and Lynnette; son, Ed; granddaughters, Rachael, Jessica and Annette; grandsons, Bob and Gary Lyn; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Bob Bowker and Gary Weston. Bob was a wonderful, hard-working man who will be greatly missed by all. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 26, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Cypress Memorial, Everett. A luncheon will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016, 1:30 p.m. at the American Legion, 315 W Deep River Road, Naselle, WA 98638.
