Edward (Sanchez) Hughlett Osborne the son of the late Edward M. and Bessie Osborne was born in Athens, Georgia March 18, 1938.


He began his life by joining the United States Army from Jan 1958 to June 1964. He was stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. During his time in the Army he earned his Parachutist and Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle). After the Army he worked for Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Company until his retirement after 40 years.


Edward married the love of his life Jo Ann Acree Osborne and from that, union of God blessed them with 5 lovely children.


He peacefully departed to be with the lord on June 1, 2020 at Tri Star Skyline Medical Center. He leaves his cherished loving memories to his Children: Larry (Maria) Osborne, Reginald (Jennifer) Osborne, Kelvin Osborne, Lawrence (Debbie) Acree, and Barbara (Alto) Lee. A large loving and supportive family. Siblings: Cecelia (Rev. Hubert L.) Dotson, Julian C (Lavonia) Osborne, Fredrick D Osborne, and Gary M Osborne. In Laws: Nettie Pearl McKay, Harry Acree, William Acree, William Lee, Robert Lee, and Jesse Acree.


He was preceded in death by a son, Kendall Osborne; a brother-in-law, Frank Acree; and a sister-in-law, Margie Love.


He leaves to mourn 17 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.


A private burial will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY.
