Her love of Country, Irish and Polka music included artists Johnny Cash; Danny O’Donnell and Lawrence Welk. Laura liked to entertain her visiting family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren, by playing her organ. In her younger years, Laura traveled with her husband, visiting various states. She attributed her long health by many years of daily walks, when weather permitted, outside. Her favorite color was pink and one of her favorite desserts was vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce & nuts.
Laura, coming from a large family of eleven children, was pillar of love, caring and support for her many family members throughout the years. Laura is survived by her daughters: Beverly Willard of Clay Center, OH, and Sue Ann (Edward) Stout of Clyde; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grand- children; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Lucille Malone of Niles, MI. In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Joseph, whom she married July 2, 1939 in Kentucky; 2 grandchildren; 4 brothers; 7 sisters and 1 son-in-law. Services for Laura will be held privately.
