Laura Mae Bowen was the founder of Rose Garden #640 Eastern Star. She received all 5 degrees. She united with Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church on December 19, 1961 under Rev. Robert H. Hill. She will be missed by all her loved ones. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving granddaughters; Roshonda Nicole Bowen of Berkeley, CA; Debbie Rejill Dillahunty of Berkeley, CA; two great-grandsons, Allen Dewey Thomas, Dehvin Skyylair Davenport; two great-grand-daughters, Ahijah Nina Collins Bowen, Mistrell D. Dillahunty, daughter in law Luella Jean Bowen. Public Viewing will be held on Monday, 6/21/10 at Fouche's Hudson Funeral Home, 3665 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA from 11:30 am to 6:15 pm followed by a Quiet Hour from 6:30-7:30 pm. An Eastern Star ceremony will be presented promptly at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 6/22/10 in Fouche's "Chapel of Peace" at 11:00 am.
