Died at her home in Cherokee Co., Kansas the 30th day of Mar 1898. Sarah B. Henderson, wife of John Hutchinson Henderson. Deceased was born March 30, 1837 and was married to John Hutchinson Henderson Jan 21, 1859, and was the mother of nine children, of who, five are still living. She united the Methodist Church in 1862 and since that time has lived a consistent member. Funeral services were held at the family home--rites assisted by Elder Taylor, after which her remains were followed by her old neighbors to the Spicklemire cemetery on Cherry Creek and laid to rest.
The parents of Sarah Bailey Moore Henderson were Allen Moore, born in Kentucky in the year 1813. He listed his occupation as a "cabinet maker" on census reports. He died after 1881 in Perry, Martin County, Indiana. By 1840 he had moved to Perry, Martin, Indiana. He married Elizabeth Ball on July 30, 1834 in Davies, Indiana. Elizabeth Ball Moore was born before 1809 in Ohio. She died before 1876 in Perry, Martin County, Indiana. Her parents are unknown also. I have not been able to locate the location of their burial.
