Jeffery Stewart Gray, 62, of Ijamsville, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. He was the loving husband of Kimberly S. Gray for 20 years and the loving father of Veronica Gray (Raymond), Stanley Ambush, Jr., James Ambush, and Marcus Ambush. He was born on June 7, 1957, to the late Aubrey H. Gray, Sr. and Frances D. Gray.
He graduated from Frederick High School in 1975, was employed with Sears and then the Frederick County School Board for 17 years. He retired from Stultz Air Technology.
Jeffery’s favorite football team was the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed family get togethers and barbeques, he loved dancing the twitch with his daughter, Veronica, and his favorite music was Al Green and Aaron Neville. He loved coming to see his sister-in-law Jackie’s arts and crafts. He loved country western movies and episodes of Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith. He also loved going to see his boys (grandsons) play football. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Ijamsville, MD.
In addition to his wife and children, Jeffery is survived by his: siblings, Roslyn M. Gray of Ijamsville, Aubrey H. Gray (Jacqueline) of Ijamsville, Karl Gray (Bonnie) of Frederick, Valerie Gunter (Curtis) of Corpus Christi, TX, Eric Gray (JoAnne) of Gaithersburg, and Timothy Gray (Robin) of Germantown; grandchildren, Jeffrey Thomas, Anthony Wesley, Tameer Ali, Isaiah Charles, and Allyana Catherine; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his: father, Aubrey H. Gray, Sr., mother, Frances D. Gray, son, Wesley Ambush, and brother-in-law, Curtis E. Gunter.
