COWART, J.W.- (from The Gravett News) J.M. Cowart, who lived south of the Georgia church, died very suddenly Monday of heart failure. He seemed to be in the usual good health when he arose in the morning and was out doing chores about the place when stricken. He called his son, W.F., who immediately went to his assistance but before his father could reach the house he expired. Mr. Cowart was about 70 years of age and was one among our oldest citizens.
James Madison Cowart is the son of
Robert Joseph Cowart & Amelia Margaret
McBrayer. He was born in NC & died in
Gravette, AR. He is the husband
of Helen Caroline Barnett Cowart
Married 29 Nov. 1860 in Georgia.
