Ida Iris Sparrow was born Jan. 6, 1882 at Farmer City, a daughter of Jacob and Liddia Riggs Overmeyer. She married Virgil Sparrow July 10, 1901, at Champaign. He died in 1924.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alta Claypool; two sons, Lyle and Russell: a granddaughter, and three great-grandsons.
