Donald Franklin Strickland, 79, of Kissimmee, Florida, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

Don was a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ and a member of the Bible Baptist Church for 24 years. He was extremely popular and was a valued member of the United States Army. He was the 1st Sgt on the 7th Army Parachute Team in Germany and later as the 1st Sgt on the Golden Knights, the United States Army Parachute Team at Ft. Bragg, NC. He loved skydiving (with 3,000 falls), bass fishing, and playing golf.

Don attended Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, Georgia, in the late 1950s.

He is survived by his loving wife, Felicidad Strickland; son, Kevin Patrick Strickland; daughter-in-law, Sabrina Borrego; brother, Broward H. Strickland; Jr., daughters, Donna Lynn Strickland Osborn and Deanna Marie Minix; sons-in-law, Tim Osborn and Robinette Minix; and nine grandchildren.

Don was predeceased by his mother, Mary Kathryn Stamper Strickland (1918-2015) and his father, Broward Hamilton Strickland, Sr. (1906-1952) and his first wife, Linda McCraven Reagan.

Visitation was held on June 6, 2020 at 9:00 am at Bible Baptist Church, 1500 East Vine St., Kissimmee, FL and the Funeral Service was held on June 6, 2020 at 10:00 am at Bible Baptist Church,1500 East Vine St., Kissimmee, FL. The Graveside Service was held on June 8, 2020 at 11:00 am at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL.
