Norma “Susie” M. Fox, 86, of Rochester passed away peacefully Monday, June 1, 2020 at Hickory Creek Healthcare Center in Rochester with Patty, Jennifer, and Jordanlynn by her side.
Born on July 2, 1933 in Winamac, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Gilsinger) Schmicker.
She married the love of her life, Alvin “Red” Fox in 1951. They moved to the Grass Creek community in 1954 where they made their permanent home and raised their family.
Susie was a lifelong homemaker and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kewanna, Logansport Eagles and the VFW.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin “Red” Fox of Rochester, daughters, Susan Streeter, PHD, of Clovis, California, Patricia Heiden of Rochester and Rose Masker (David) of Omaha, Nebraska, sister, Katherine Cooper of South Bend and grandchildren, Charlotte Heiden of Rochester, Jennifer Duff of Grass Creek, Autumn Masker of Omaha and Vanessa Masker of South Dakota. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Mildred Schmicker of Winamac, IN.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert, Richard, and Joseph Schmicker and Mary Cirrillo.
Private family services will be held.
Burial will be at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, Kewanna.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Fulton County Human Society.
