Barbara was born in Hinton, West Virginia, on June 3, 1945 to Thomas and Goldie Williams, both deceased, and preceded in death by her older brother, Jimmy.
Barbara is the loving wife of 56 years to Danny Belcher, who survives.
Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, survivors include by two daughters, Danielle Belcher Woodall, and husband, Edward of Mebane, NC and Melinda Belcher Willingham, and husband, Steve of Burlington, NC; and grandchildren, Kayla Goforth, Sophia Woodall, Emma Willingham, Evan Woodall, and Nolan Woodall. Longtime friends include Earl and Leanna Kniceley of Beckley, WV.
Barbara was a 1963 graduate from Hinton High School and attended Beckley College as well as West Virginia University. She retired from her career at Central Carolina Bank in Burlington, NC.
Some of her greatest joys in life were spending time with family, gardening, cooking, entertaining, and doting on her grandchildren. Barbara had a generous and kind spirit that was an inspiration to those around her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to the Belcher family on Monday, June 8, 2020 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington and a private family celebration of her life will be held at Alamance Memorial Park.
