William was born on January 31, 1935 in Waterbury, son of the late William T. Gill, Sr., and Kathryn (Hanley) Gill. William was a longtime member of the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department and the Watertown Area Association for Special Citizens (WAASC). He also served proudly in the United States Army.
Besides his wife, Nancy, William is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth K. Gill, and Jane Ann Gill, both of Thomaston.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston.
