Issei from Fukuoka-ken, Asakura-gun, Amagi-machi (present day Amagi-shi). First arrived in Honolulu on 7 Mar 1899 aboard the Miike-maru. 1910 Census indicates that he had a wife name ?Kichio (b. ~1886) and a daughter named ?Hatsumi (b. ~1907).

This is an unusual example of a yosehaka (寄せ墓) or combined grave which is shared with Kamekichi Yamanaka who died 16 years earlier.
