Michael D. Sellers, 65 of Taylorville, passed away at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. He was born on April 12, 1955 in Fair Oaks, California, the son of Fred and Nyrita (Nimrick) Sellers. Mike was an avid fisherman and loved to share stories of his big catches. He was a lover of animals, especially his dog, Gracie. Mike spent countless hours working in his yard on the many flower beds that he kept.

He is survived by his partner of 38 years: Judy Driver; daughters: Anjanette Sheffield (Ron) of Florence, Alabama and Tiffany Sellers of Decatur; brother: Brad Sellers (Tina) of Taylorville; sister: Cindy McDaniel (J.D.) of Waterloo; mother: Nyrita Sellers of Waterloo; 2 grandsons; a nephew and nieces. He will be missed by many others including Judy’s daughters: Shannon Slifer (Doyle) of Champaign and Tanya Michel (Chad) of Edinburg and their children. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

In accordance with his wishes, Mike will be cremated no services will be held.
