Larry Dean Bishop, age 68, of Needmore, PA, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on Thursday, November 1, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD, the son of the late Glen and the late Vera (Hanks) Bishop. Larry married Betty Everts on June 13, 1970 in Hancock, MD. He worked at JLG Industries from 1973 until 2005 when he retired. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, crafting, fixing chainsaws and cutting wood.

Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jane Bishop, two children, Donna Jean (wife of Mike) Hann of Needmore, PA and Glen Robert Bishop of Fayetteville, PA, four granddaughters, Harley Ann Youngblood of Fort Littleton, PA, Mariah Dawn Vinton of Needmore, PA, Tiffany Gale Mellott of Needmore, PA and Charity Jane Mellott of Needmore, PA and one grandson Robert Dalton Bishop of Shippensburg, PA and one great grandson, Jamison Allen Youngblood of Fort Littleton, PA. Larry is also survived by one sister, Kathleen Miller of Jackson, FL.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glenn Bishop.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, services are private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Pleasant Grove Christian Church. The family has entrusted Larry's care to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for the family.
