Mrs. Loretta Faulks Moore a native and resident of Montgomery, AL departed this earth on April 20, 2020. Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Loretta Faulks Moore was born on August 6, 1939 to the late Alfonso Faulks and late Catherine Faulks. At an early age, she dedicated her life to Christ. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, the late Bobby Moore, on February 20, 1972. She had a long career working at Alabama State University retiring in 1994. She worked in the Testing and Psychological Services Department for more than 26 years. Loretta was respected by her peers that worked with her and loved by her students that she counseled. Loretta was very active with the Montgomery City Federation of Women's Clubs, Inc. and Youth Affiliates. She not only gave her heart and spirit to community service, but also provided philanthropic support. As a result of her pleasant personality and generous spirit, she was loved by many. Mourning the loss of Loretta are her first cousin, Mary Francis Boyd, second cousins, Willie Maryland, Patricia Maryland, Debra Simpkins, Jearlean Ellis, Deloris Stoudmire, Josephine Perry, Cornelius Maryland and Laura Taylor. Loretta was a very special person who was blessed with so many wonderful gifts. She will truly be missed. May God continue to bless her in heaven.
