Services for Mattie Louise McGill, 78, of Whitehouse, were held Nov. 27 at Stewart Family Funeral Home chapel in Tyler, with the Revs. Lewis Bell and Ron Moore officiating. Burial was in Meador Cemetery.

Ms. McGill died Nov. 25 in a Tyler hospice.

She was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Whitehouse to the late Claude Funderburg and Evanee Ham. She was a secretary for Meador Cemetery and a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Layman McGill.

Survivors include sons Jim Noble and Dennis Noble, both of Whitehouse, and Mark Noble of Austin; daughters Kay Decker and Jeannie Chandler, both of Tyler; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Bob Permenter, Weldon Griffin, Cary Medlock, Don Chandler, Nick Decker and Craig Huddleston.

If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas; Meador Cemetery; or Gateway Baptist Church Building Fund.
