He was born March 20, 1937 in Armada MI to Glenn and Eva (Apt) Spencer. He retired in 1991 from General Motors, Detroit, MI. Gerald served 2 years in the United States Army. He married Diane Fike on February 14, 1959 in Richmond. His favorite hobby was feeding the birds and watching the neighborhood deer.
He is survived by his loving pet Lucky, his wife of 61 years, Diane, three children, Glenn, Garry and Tina Spencer, 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and his sister Nancy Friedt.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
