Armando is survived by his wife, Alicia S. Gomez; son, Jorge Armando (Maria Luisa Juarez) Gomez; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Also surviving him are brothers, Guadalupe (Jovita) Gomez, Angel (Consuelo) Gomez, Lionel Gomez, Juan (Amparo) Gomez, and Humberto Gomez; sisters, Yolanda Gomez and Estella Gomez; and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jose Gomez; sister, Amelia Gomez; and grandson, Daniel Ybarra, Jr.
Viewing will be Friday, May 29, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with Graveside Service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
In regards to our policy in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority is always the safety of the families we serve, our community and our employees. Due to the updated COVID-19 mandates, we can only allow 50 individuals at any time. A mask or facial covering is required when entering our funeral home.
