April 5, 1944 - June 1, 2020
Mrs. Sharon Lynn Rhodus Woodward, 76, of Richmond, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond.
She was born near Poosey Ridge in the Cottonburg Community of Madison County on April 5, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Willie and Lena Denny Rhodus. Sharon was a homemaker and loved spending time working in her flowers. She also enjoyed being with her family – especially her grandchildren. Sharon attended the Grace Chapel Wesleyan Church in Richmond.
Survivors include: her husband of 51 years, Charles “Charlie” Woodward; three sons, Walter “Pete” Bowlin, William “Bill” Bowlin (Gayle Tussey), and Gary Bowlin (Delia Maupin); two grandchildren, Amanda Strong (Chris), and Kristy Gamble (James); six great-grandchildren, Kaileb Miller, Carson Gamble, Kinlee Strong, Kadence Strong, Ryker Gamble, and Kaiser Strong; her sister-in-law, Nellie Hembree; her nephew, Steven Hembree; one great-nephew, Hayden Hembree; one great-niece, Hanna Hembree; as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Rhodus.
There will be a public visitation from 5:00PM – 7:00PM on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St. Richmond. Social Distancing guidelines are requested to be observed.
Private Funeral Services will be conducted with Bro. Owen Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Marty Broaddus, Chris Strong, James Gamble, Larry Strong, and Jeffrey Lamb.
