MERRILL – Edward C. Blanchfield, 88, 506 Cleveland Street, Merrill, died at 7 a.m. today (December 27, 1974) at home.

Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Krueger Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Merrill. The Reverend Nesbitt will officiate and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Merrill. Friends may call now at the funeral home.

Mr. Blanchfield was born November 14, 1886 in Necedah. He was married to Frances Cunningham, who preceded him in death. He was a retired employee of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad, and a member of Merrill Council 1133 Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Genevieve Blanchfield, Marathon; three sons, Joe, Rothschild, Robert, 506 Cleveland Street, Merrill, and Edward, Glendale; a brother, Fred, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Grace Harper and Lucy Angel, both of California; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
