Rachel Green, 37, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
Rachel's family extends an invitation to anyone who would like to attend her visitation or funeral, but there will be limited seating. Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and are encouraged to wear a face covering, thank you for your understanding.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City followed by the funeral service, with limited seating, at 11:00 am with Pastor Debra Lincoln of United Church of Christ of Colwell officiating.
Rachel Lyn Green, the daughter of Jay Green and Sue Green, was born on August 1, 1982 in Waverly, Iowa. She graduated from Clarksville High School and received her Associate's degree in computer graphics from Hawkeye Community College.
Rachel worked at Bridgeway in Greene. She also had her own independent business in landscaping and lawn care. Rachel loved to be in nature and cared deeply about the environment. She was passionate about animals and would often bring home a stray to take care of. Rachel was very creative and artistic. She created beautiful cross stitch patterns. Rachel enjoyed cross-word puzzles and reading. Above everything, Rachel loved spending time with her family.
Living family members include her two sons: Chayton and Ayden; father, Jay Green (Jodi); mother, Sue Green; siblings: Levi Green and Callie Green; nephew and niece: Austin and Bailey Green; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Galen and Jan Wilson; uncle, Mike Wilson; and paternal grandparents, Joel and Thea Green.
