YAKIMA - Two weeks after a tragic fall, Arlene passed away with her loving children by her side. Arlene was born on April 4, 1925 to Edwin Groenig and Mary Barnard Groenig and raised in Yakima, Washington. She attended area schools.

She married Clarence (Blackie) Hagedorn in 1948. While being a housewife and mother, she helped Blackie with their orchard in the Gleed area for several years. Later they owned and operated ABC Office Equipment in Yakima. In 1982 Arlene went to work for Yakima Valley Credit Union where she retired in September 1995.

In 1983, after 35 years of marriage, Blackie passed away unexpectedly. In 1993, 70 year old Harvey Keezer walked into her life and offered her a ride on a motorcycle. They rode together and had great fun until Harvey's death in 2004. Harvey and Arlene were both members of the American Legion and Veteran's of Foreign Wars.

Arlene has many friends and family members who have been waiting for her on the other side. She will be lovingly remembered by a legacy of family and friends.
