Carl Amrhein, 65, president of Amrhein Baking Co., died Tuesday at St. John's hospital following an illness of three months.

He was born Dec. 25, 1893, in Springfield, the son of Christopher and Josephine Amrhein.

His brother, Nicholas, preceded him in death Jan. 13, 1957.

A veteran of World War I in the Navy, he was past commandant of the Navy Club.

He was also affiliated with the Men's Club, Knights of Columbus Council, Elks, Eagles, Sangamo Club and American Legion Post 32.

He was a trustee of the Little Flower Church.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; a son, Jack; a sister, Mrs. Charles Kennedy, St. Louis; three grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Church of the Little Flower.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
