Gary A. Schmidt, 55, of Stephenson, Mich. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 29, 2020. He was born October 4, 1964 in Menominee, Mich. to Ronald and the late Nadine (Mitchell) Schmidt.
On August 3, 1990 he married Gail Younk at Resurrection Parish in Menominee, Mich.
Gary enjoyed going fishing and hunting and loved having his dogs Sissy, Peanut, Daisy Mae and newly acquired pup Romeo around him. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his wife Gail;
siblings: Cheryl (Randy) Watz of Green Bay, WI; Lois (Rob) Cook of Marinette, WI; Jim (Dee) Schmidt of Cedar River, Mi; Glen (Kathy) Schmidt of Stephenson, Mi; Angela (Joe) Griesing of Eden Prairie, MN and Rosie (fiancé Dallas) Settlemire of Marinette, Wi;
Many nieces, nephews
and good friends Scott Klatt, Rob Tebo and Jerry Tebo.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother and brother Ronald Schmidt .
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 beginning at 4:00 pm at his brother Glen’s house of Stephenson Mich.
Gary will be laid to rest in the Cedar River Cemetery.
