CHARLESTON, IL – Deborah Ann Reynolds, age 65 of Charleston and formerly of Mattoon, Illinois, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, May 23, 2020 while at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. There will be no services planned at this time. Memorials in her honor may be made to United Cerebral Palsy and mailed in care of Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.

Debbie was born July 29, 1954 in Lyons, New York, the only daughter of Arthur W. and Diana (Hulster) Reynolds. Debbie is survived by her mother, Diana Reynolds of Charleston, Illinois; two brothers, Bruce Reynolds of Ashmore and Michael Reynolds and wife June of Neoga, Illinois; her boyfriend and longtime best friend, Greg Icenogle of Mattoon, Illinois; along with several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father who passed away February 18, 2009.

Debbie was a graduate of Mattoon High School. Her determination and outlook on life was to be admired as she learned to live with the challenges of cerebral palsy and was able to seek out many of life’s enjoyments. It was not easy to travel long distance so she discovered that local travel and short outings could be just as pleasurable. Many of those trips included local festivals that she was extremely fond of attending, or an evening of playing BINGO. She was a lover of animals which also included her menagerie of stuffed toy animals. Debbie found great solace in music which included several different genres – her repertoire included everything from Carole King, the Beatles, Classic Rock to Heavy Metal.

One of the greatest blessings to Debbie’s life was Greg and his never-ending devotion to her. They not only shared a deep and abiding friendship but shared life’s experiences together. Debbie will be greatly missed by those who loved and cared for her.
