She was born in Gilmer County on August 5, 1942, daughter of the late Thomas Clevenger and Druzilla (Moore) Lockhart. On April 16, 1960, she married William Ernie Lockhart, who survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Kimberly Lockhart Conrad and Sheila Lockhart; one son, William Gene Lockhart and wife, Sharon; 7 grandchildren, Kristy McCoy, Jennifer Sargent, Steven Lockhart, Joshua Lockhart, Shawn Conrad, William Michael Lockhart and Ryan Lockhart and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Richard “Dick” Clevenger and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Lockhart; one brother, Donald Clevenger and one sister, Madge Isenhart.
Mrs. Lockhart was a glassworker with the Louie Glass Factory and the West Virginia Glass Specialty Company both of Weston. She also worked in Dr. Trefz office and was a waitress at the Caravan Restaurant. She also worked in people’s homes as a caregiver. She enjoyed working in plastic canvas and pitching horseshoes with family and friends. Mary was happy when she was working and spending time with her family.
Per Mary’s request, she was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
