Jacob C. Lindemann passed away from this world April 20, 2020 at the home of his mother, Heidi Dwyer, of Wentzville, MO. In addition, Jake leaves behind his father Charles Lindemann, brother Jason Lindemann, sister Tabatha Knichel, and many other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

Jake was a volunteer and friend to all at Bellefontaine Cemetery, where he began his volunteering in 2017. He touched many of the lives of the people with whom he came in contact. Empathic in nature, Jake did not pass a friend or stranger without giving something of himself; a warm smile, a dollar, or some friendly conversation. He could see the beauty in simple things like laughter, joking with friends, or jumping in a pile of leaves. He took humble pride in his accomplishments of graduation, his job as a security officer and the knowledge he shared with visitors as a guide at Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Jake's generosity and sweet nature were just two of his greatest gifts to all. In that vein, Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum has established "Jake's Fund", a restricted fund created through charitable donations made to the Friends of Bellefontaine. Its purpose is to provide opportunities and resources for children and youth programs at BCA, especially for those in at-risk situations. This seems a most appropriate way to honor Jake's memory and his contributions to Bellefontaine Cemetery, the community, and all of us that he touched so profoundly.

Gone way too soon, but never to be forgotten and to be loved always.
