Kenneth retired from the Camden Fairview School District where he taught Building Trades. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, astronomy, trapshooting, studying ancestry, and collecting coins. He was a life-long learner, wanting to learn something new daily. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and he made their well-being his priority. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Camden, and attended First Baptist Church, Maumelle, after moving.
The fall of 2018, Ken and June, his beloved wife of 52 years, moved to Maumelle to be nearer their daughter, Kathryn Neill and husband Rick, and son, John Clay Kirtley and wife Melanie, and four grandchildren, Jason and Zadie Neill and Allison and Jack Kirtley. Ken cherished each moment with them.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl Kirtley, and his heart-adopted family, Jack and Elizabeth Luzader.
The family thanks Dr. Dan Martin, Camden, for his many years of excellent care, and UAMS, BRI, and especially Dr. Stephen Sorsby for their care this past year.
Due to COVID-19, a private service was held. Kenneth's final place of rest is Riverwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum of Hope in Maumelle. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Camden or First Baptist Church, Maumelle.
