Obituary:
Wilbert L. "Pockets" Cole, 62, of Route 1, Centralia, died yesterday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital. He was an employee of Reading Outdoor Advertising.
Mr. Cole, son of Ab and Sophia (Schneider) Cole, was born in Keyesport and lived most of his life in this area. On Oct. 10, 1937 he married Ruby R. Smith, who survives.
He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Judith Campbell and Mrs. Joan Moore, both of Centralia; a brother, Lester Cole of Walnut Hill; a half-brother, Wilfred Hofstetter of Centralia; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Isaacs of Carlyle, Mrs. Mildred Chambers of Chicago and Mrs. Irene Pierce of Centralia; a half-sister, Mrs. Betty Johnson of Sandoval; three step-sisters, Mrs. Mae Atchison, Mrs. Ruth Porter and Mrs. Geneva Dunbar, all of Centralia; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Garnier and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. R. A. Lippman officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. tomorrow.
