Mrs. Pearl Vorena Buxton of Warrenton, MO., passed away peacefully, Friday, May 29, 2020. She was born November 2, 1934 in Rector, AR., to Garvin B. and Minnie Bell (Nee: Percifull) Gilbert. She reached the age of 85 years, 6 months and 27 days.
Pearl married Russell Buxton on January 14, 1984 in Warrenton, MO. She worked at General Motors for over 30 years and then worked for Walmart for another 20 years. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed fishing and going to the casinos to gamble. She was a country girl and was happy living on the family farm. What she enjoyed more than anything was spending time with her family. They were her #1 priority.
Pearl is preceded in death her husbands, Russell Buxton, Billy J. Alcorn, Billy J. James; parents, Garvin and Minnie; brother, Odel Gilbert. She is survived by her children, Mark James (Trisha), Craig James (Debra), Chris James (Sue), Matt James; brother, L.N. Gilbert; brother in law, Eddie Joe James; sister in laws, Renee Crites, Peggy James; five grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many other friends and family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM at Warrenton City Cemetery. Graveside Service will begin at 10:45 AM.
