Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Ansel Calhoun and Myrtie Gertrude Ashley Branyon. He attended Honea Path First Assembly of God and was a retired construction contractor. Dennis was a veteran of the US Air Force.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 52 years of the home are: a son, Danny (Rachael) Branyon of Greenville; his sister, Brenda Jo Whittle of Honea Path; and four grandchildren, Sarah Adeline, Catherine Grace, Phoebe Joy, and Daniel.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gerald Scott Branyon, and two brothers, Wendall “Buster” Branyon and Gary Thomas Branyon.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Branyon residence, 307 Harper Street, Honea Path with Rev. Homer Gilmer, Rev. Tony Smith, and Rev. Bob Koenigsmann officiating. Milit
