Obituary:

Surrounded by family, David "Mike" Crow, 70, passed peacefully from life on earth into eternity in heaven with his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Mike was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Earl and Arlene Crow. The family moved to Hermiston, Oregon, approximately two years later, where Mike grew up. After graduating from Hermiston High School, Mike attended Northwest Bible College in Minot, North Dakota, where he met and married Carol (Barnett) Crow. She survives.

Along with spending time with his family and friends, Mike loved to fish, hunt and cut wood. He was employed by Pig 'n Pancake Restaurant and Oregon Fine Foods Catering from 1976 to 2007, when a late-stage cancer diagnosis caused an early retirement. The cancer battle lasted for the past 11 years.

In addition to his wife of almost 50 years, Mike is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Anna Crow, of Seaside, Oregon; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Rosco Rotella, of Astoria, Oregon; eight grandchildren, Justin Nance, Samantha Larson, Elisa and Justin Near, Sam Crow, Jordon Crow and Taylor Carson, all of Seaside, Oregon, and Eryn Crow, of Independence, Oregon; one great-granddaughter, Dahlia Nance, of Astoria, Oregon; two sisters, Earlene Jacobs, of Hermiston, Oregon, and Sherry Graham and her husband, Gerald, of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers-in-law, Tom Barnett, of Conway, Arkansas, Andy Barnett and his wife, Norma, of Taylor, Michigan, and Jim Barnett and his wife, Debbie, of Hilliard, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Barbara Barnett, of Baytown, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews across the country.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m., at Lighthouse Christian Church, 88786 Dellmoor Loop Road, Warrenton, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations made to the "mortgage payoff" fund at Lighthouse Christian Church, P.O. Box 280, Warrenton, OR., 97146. Mike served on the Elder Board at the church, and was passionate about paying off the mortgage.
