Dr. Worth Bagley Daniels, Jr. practiced medicine in Baltimore. He married in 1962, Jane Osborne Wilhelm (b.1928), daughter of Frank Osborne (c1891-c1970) and Ann Elizabeth Dawson Wilhelm (1904-94), of Baltimore. Their daughters are Jane Desvarreux January, and Ann Osborne Daniels (Emory 1987)(UNC MPH 2000) who married in 2003, Eric Alan Kalbfleisch. Jane Desvarreux January Daniels (F&M 1986) married in 1993, David Richard Calhoun (G.W. MPH & P.A. 1995). Their daughters are Ann Elizabeth Desvarreux and Grace January Worth Calhoun.

His father was an author, editor and publisher of the Raleigh News and Observer, Secretary of the Navy, 1913-21, and U.S. ambassador to Mexico, 1933-42. Their sons were Dr. Worth Bagley, Jr. (1925-2009) and Derick January Daniels (1928-2005).
