Charles Henry Adams (Chuck), 76 of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at home. Chuck was born on July 11th, 1943, in Hammond, Indiana to Henry Adams and Molly (Allison) Adams. Shortly after birth, he moved to Stevenson, Alabama and graduated from Stevenson High School in 1961 where he played football and basketball.

He then moved to Nashville, TN and worked for Southern Records. He met and then married the love of his life, Marie (Craighead) Adams on May 31, 1964 in Nashville. He and two of his colleagues decided to take a chance and founded Central South Music Sales Inc. in 1970. They went on to open over 50 retail music stores called Sound Shop and Music 4 Less. They also founded Central South Distribution, an Independent Gospel Distributor.

Chuck was a member of Crievewood Baptist Church for 45 years. He enjoyed scuba diving and had a passion for all things outdoors. He was a loyal friend to all who knew him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather; and the rock of his family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Marie, his 2 children, Charles Henry Adams and Ann Marie (Michael) Konikoff. His 5 grandchildren, Colten Adams, Natalie Adams, Alexandra Konikoff, Matthew Konikoff, and Andrew Konikoff, and one great-grandson, Charles Colten Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Molly Adams, his brothers Doyle Adams and John Adams. His daughter-in-law, Kristy Adams and his grandson Corben Adams.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from eleven o'clock in the morning until two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, June 2 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37204. The family requests guests to maintain social distancing and wear a mask. A Graveside Service will follow and be held at two o'clock in the afternoon at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Please reflect on this poem of your memories of Chuck:

-Miss Me, But Let Me Go- When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room; Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little- but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me - but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds Miss me, but let go. Amen
