Christopher was a retired Sgt. from the Clarkstown Police Dept. Prior to his service with the police, he had served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force.
He was born August 6, 1957 in Nyack, New York.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Walter and Doris Rose of New City, a sister Maureen and Tommy Pearce, New City, two brothers, Sgt. Robert W. Rose, Highland Falls and Keith and Bobbie Rose, Waldorf, MD, one son, Joseph Rose, New Windsor, along with five nephews and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 29 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the A.W. Dutcher's Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Haverstraw, New York. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Conklin Avenue, Haverstraw, New York, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow in the Rockland County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
