Michael Lee Stipe 79 of Snyder Texas passed away in Lubbock Texas on Thursday May 29, 2020.
Graveside Services for Mike will be held Sunday May 31st at 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to attended. Mr. Bob Martin and Mr. Perry Westmoreland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mike was born on January 23, 1941 in Arlington, Texas. To Billie and Vernon Stipe.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Davis Stipe of the home, son Curtis Stipe and wife Ashley of Prosper, Texas, daughter Karen Westmoreland and husband Perry of Snyder, Texas, grandchildren Bryce Westmoreland of Snyder, Texas Layton Westmoreland and wife Samatha of Abilene, Texas, Blake Massey of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Brooke Chilton and husband Nathaniel of McKinney, Texas, sister Marie Houk and husband Robert of Lake Kiowa, Texas, brothers Robert Stipe and wife Judy of Hurst, Texas, Gary Stipe and wife Connie of Gail, Texas, sister in law Kathy Davis of Snyder, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Billie and Vernon Stipe and brother in law David Davis.
Mike was raised in Snyder, Texas. He met the love of his life, Wanda at Snyder High School. Mike and Wanda were married for over 59 years. Mike farmed for 25 years and later worked and retired after over 20 years of service from YZ-Industries. He was a member of the 37th Street Church of Christ. He and his family enjoyed tractor pulling, riding motorcycles and camping together. During retirement, Mike enjoyed attending antique tractor shows and displaying his tractor and lately spending mornings with his coffee group. He took great pride in his family.
No formal visitation will be held but friends and family are welcome to attend viewing and sign memorial book at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
