Nona L. Cook, 86, of McAlester, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at a local nursing home.
Visitation will be Saturday until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Rev. Jerry Burnside officiating. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery near Stuart.
Nona was born on November 19, 1933 in the Hilltop community to George and Tennie (Carpenter) Baker. She was a seamstress at Seampruf and was married to R.D. Cook. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in McAlester.
Survivors include numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; two sisters and three nephews.
