Tom Dalton, 69, of Camanche, Iowa, died Tuesday morning, May 26, 2020, at home.

Thomas Lee Dalton was born July 17, 1950, in Clinton to Donald and Margaret (Mooney) Dalton. He was 1968 graduate of Central Community High School, DeWitt.

In 1970, Tom was drafted into the United States Army serving in Germany.

Following his honorable discharge from service, Tom worked at Caterpillar in Mount Joy. He later worked for Collis until retirement.

He loved his Corvettes and working on the family farm.

Surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Duane Hite of Grand Mound and Debbie and Randy Lewis of Des Allemands, Louisiana; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tom in death were his parents; a sister, Janet McQuary and a brother, Don Dalton.

Military Rites by the Iowa National Guard will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2020, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A family Rite of Committal will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. H. Robert Harness officiating. Entombment will follow.

Arrangements are in the care of Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound.
